a community for Advanced Training in Depth Psychotherapy
The Aion Institute provides advanced integrative psychodynamic psychotherapy training. Through certificate programs, continuing education courses, clinical consultation, and communal dialogue, Aion offers a sanctuary for rigorous psychodynamic training that honors both intellect and the imagination. Rooted in the Jungian and contemporary psychoanalytic approaches to psychotherapy, Aion also values humanistic and existential principles, as well as emergent perspectives such as complexity and attachment theory. Our goal is to courageously enter into the complexity and ambivalence required to become truly philosophical.
Courses Open for Registration
integrated analytical psychology: an open salon
On Monday, February 16, 6-8 PM, please join Aion founder Dr Matthew Bennett for an open Salon to discuss his recent book – Integrated Analytical Psychology: Return to Freedom and Dignity.
Certificate Programs at your own pace
Our certificate programs include a series of self-contained curricula designed to enhance practicing psychotherapists’ skillsets at undertaking relationally vibrant psychotherapy richly informed by best clinical practice in the psychodynamic traditions. Take courses at your own pace over time, culminating in an immersive training experience supplemented by live group case consultation. We plan to offer CE credit for most courses, although this program will also be helpful to the graduate student, post-doc, or intern.
CE Seminars and Webinars
Our Continuing Education programming will include standalone workshops and seminars for CE credit…they will also be useful to students and anyone interested in the subject at hand. We are planning seminars, workshops, and other immersive learning experiences both online and in person which explore the clinical and philosophical foundations of psychodynamic theory and practice (especially at the convergence of contemporary psychoanalytic and Jungian/post-Jungian approaches). Please check here for details about CE approval for specific licensed disciplines.
Consultation and Education
For licensed psychotherapists, peer consultation is an important resource supporting effective and ethical practice as a therapist.
Our clinical director, Dr. Matthew Bennett, is a seasoned professor, lecturer and supervisor provides case consultation to help you to conceptualize your cases, determine effective psychotherapeutic interventions, and advise on tactical questions about boundaries, processing transference and countertransference issues.
Community and Networking
In addition to its structured educational offerings, the Aion Institute fosters an ongoing professional community committed to depth-oriented learning and dialogue. Through a dedicated online Discord platform that supports both course-specific collaboration and broader psychodynamic conversation, participants are invited into a network of mutual reflection, mentorship, and growth. We are also planning an immersive imaginal, primal roleplaying world as a means of amplifying symbolic experience. This community space is designed not only for intellectual exchange, but for imaginal participation…a place where the lived experience of psyche is honored, and where practitioners can remain connected to one another and to the deeper currents of their work.
